Flying to the Kapushka River is a splendid flight.
Volcanoes dot the horizon and Once we land there is yet another surprise. We get to soak in a healthy hot spring. The Kapushka River is very wading friendly it has a nice gravel bottom with strewn bolder's. This fish-kingdom is wide flowing and shallow. Gentle rolling mountains flank the shore of the clear stream. Robust Rainbows live here as well as Char. Kings, Silvers and Chum Salmon all spawn in this magnificent river. This is where we coined the saying "Rainbows like mice" We had an unforgettable experience of watching rainbows rise for hours to catch mice. What a fun way to spend several hours in the Russian Wilderness on a remote river
