The
Zhupanova River was first floated and fished by Ouzel in 1993.
Being a medium to large sized river with beautiful scenery and
great fishing makes the Zhupanova a terrific choice.
Huge runs of arctic Char and many large Rainbows
inhabit it's underwater habitat. Kundzha and many Salmon including
an excellent Silver run are found in its waters.
The upper river has little drop of shelves,
shallow waterfalls, and deep channels in the rock riverbed.
Mid - river runs deep with few obstructions,
mostly on channel.
There
are island and side streams to fish. Down river the Zhupanovsky
volcano looms snowcapped in the distant landscape. There is a
large rapid, which adds to the mix.
Ouzel Expeditions has floated the Zhupanova
from its headwaters to the ocean. Its a beauty.
